Mattupetty is also famous for the Indo- Swiss dairy farm with a swarm of variety high yielding breeds of cows. Then, there is Pallivasal - the place where first hydro- electric project of Kerala is located. Powerhouse waterfalls in Chinnakanal is a must see. Seven kilometers long travel from Chinnakanal takes one to Anayirangal, the dam there is surrounded by exquisite tea gardens and poignant evergreen forests.

Rajamalai is part of Eravikulam National park which is a natural habitat of Nilgiri Tahr, a rare mountain goat which is soon getting extinct. Echo point is located fifteen kilometers from Munnar, on the way to Top Station and offers panoramic views and got the name from the natural echo phenomenon here. Top Station, about twenty seven kilometers from Munnar and one thousand nine hundred meters above sea level, offers a bird's eye view of neighboring Tamil Nadu.

Last but not least, the once in twelve years happening - the blooming of "Neelakurinji", a flowering shrub unique to Munnar which covers the hills with a blue carpet. An enthralling sight!
