Resorts get bonus points for swim-up bars, piano bars, and a fruit juice bar. They're fun and festive!

Another mandatory honeymoon feature for your all-inclusive resort: lots of great water options. The more swimming pools, the better. Lake-style pools are great. Infinity pools are popular, but when it comes to where you want to dip your bod during your honeymoon, many newlyweds claim that lake-style pools triumph over infinity pools. If you're honeymooning somewhere that experiences temperature dips, then you need to make sure you're staying somewhere with at least one heated pool, preferably more.

You might also want close by ocean access for sea adventures. You absolutely want to be able to kayak, sail, and windsurf in ocean waters. Many people love snorkeling and scuba diving in tropical waters. Does your resort offer amenities to permit these activities? Make sure of it before you make any reservations. Check the geography of the area in which you're staying so you'll know where all the reefs are.

It's also great to choose a resort that provides guests with recreational activity options. Look for resorts with lighted tennis courts, bicycles and, of course, fitness centers. Not to be overlooked, you definitely want to stay somewhere with a world-class spa. Need an explanation? Didn't think so. Also, check to see if the resort offers tours or assistance with booking tours around the area.

Try Acapulco, Aruba, Bora Bora, Madrid, Maui, Moorea, Paris, Santorini, St. Lucia, St. Martin and Venice.

Are you risk takers? No activity is off limits? How about zip-lining through dense jungle foliage, or scoping out an ancient cave on an eco-tour? Sounds like you might like Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ixtapa, Montego Bay, Oahu, Ochos Rios or Riviera Maya.If you're all about local culture and ancient traditions, then you're probably excited at the thought of tours, scoping out local churches and cantinas and immersing yourselves into the wares and delicacies at the local bazaar.
