Summer is approaching and what better way to prepare for it than to know how to personalize the trend that is brewing on the runway shows of Resort 2012. Below are the top 5 trends emerging:

TREND 1: BE BRIGHT. BE VERY, VERY BRIGHT

It seems like this acid-bright trend is not yet saying goodbye and remains strong until the coming season. From the collection of Scottish born designer, Christoper Kane to celebrated Singaporean designer, Prabal Gurung, grabbing attention under the sun's heat calls for eye-catching acid brights!

TREND 2: FLOWERS FOR THE LADY

A touch of floral print in your ensemble gives you the femininity for the Summer. From dresses to skirts, florals are present in touches of most ensembles for the Resort 2012 runway. Givenchy and Stella McCartney have samples of this trend in their current collection.

TREND 3: RELAX AND LET LOOSE.

Spend your summer lounging around either the pool or the beach, with magazines and cold drinks as your company, with this season's trend of loose clothing (and not women) from pants to jumpsuits to Maxi Dresses. Give you body hugging, curve revealing clothes a rest. It's time to let go and relax with this kind of silhouette.

TREND 4: MODERN SAFARI

This is expected every Summer Season. It's hot as a jungle out there and what better way to survive than channeling your inner Safarista (Safari Fashionista)? For resort 2012, the fashion lines, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga and Burberry Prorsum produced pieces that are in camel tone and has the hint of modern safari. This is also perfect for those who are more into structured styles.

TREND 5: THE FULL, A-LINE SKIRT -- LIGHT AS THE CLOUDS ON A CLEAR SUMMER DAY.

In line with the "loose" silhouette trend, the freedom of our legs plus the touch of softness of the Full, A-Line skirt is definitely one of the off-shoots. Light, white and fluffy like the clouds, this skirt will give you the sense of 'fun and flirt' in your ensemble, as you walk around from shop to shop. Moschino and Roberta Cavalli agrees!
