With the advent of high speed internet, we've seen two different types of web users. First, you have people who want to use it to have fun. They keep in touch with friends, they watch some funny videos and they read the latest updates from their favorite celebs. The other half of web users see this tool as a great way to make money with a stay at home job.

But is it right for you? A stay at home job can be a blessing for some and a curse for others. Here's your checklist...

Can You Follow A Schedule That YOU Make Up?

Let's say that your boss calls you up today and says "Listen, you can come in or not come in whenever you want. We're not going to fire you, you can just stay at home all week if you like and come in next week." Would you come in today? Or would you take today off? And tomorrow? And the next? If you can't kick your own butt and be your own boss, a stay at home job might not be right for you, because you won't make a living from home if you can't be just as hard on yourself as any other boss. The trick is to stick to the same hours every day for work.

Are You Sociable?

We ask this not because a people person should not get a stay at home job, but because working from home, if you're not a very social person, can seriously cripple you. If you're already pretty social, you can work at home and then get your social interaction at the local coffee shop or other hangout. On the other hand, if you usually stay at home after work, you may want to keep a job that has you leaving home to work to ensure that you don't shut yourself off from the contact of others, which is more important than you might realize.

Are You a Single Mom or Dad?

If you answer yes to this question, then you really SHOULD take up any opportunity you have to work at home. Even if you don't fit anything else on this checklist, being a parent has a way of shaping you up into exactly the person you need to be in life. If you have kids to take care of, you may find that hiring babysitters or paying for a day care center can cost you so much that you may as well not have a job at all. If you're making only so much an hour, the babysitter is probably wanting about the same. If they're taking ninety percent of your money, then it's just not worth it, and you absolutely do need to seriously consider working from home.
